We have a very exciting opportunity for a Content Manager to join a successful consultancy near Bourne End (although there will be some home working). This role will work within the conference team and is ideal for someone who is wanting to continue their career within events, conference programme management and research.
The Content Manager is a pivotal role within the Events and Media division, and it works across all stakeholders in the business including Operations, Sales and Marketing.
Duties and responsibilities;
* To work with speakers in promoting various events
* Liaise with speakers throughout the time leading up to the conference
* Monitor the quality of the speakers' presentations
* Design and write the conference programme from start to finish
* Research a conference programme extensively
* Pro-actively create and manage the content for conference programmes and liaise with editorial and research team to increase relevance of topics and variety of speakers
* Manage speaker invitations and all communications with speakers once confirmed, including the collection of bios and presentations
* To assist the Head of Events with pre-and onsite operational duties
* Support all departments with researching and creating thought led pieces for marketing and conference themes
* Enable communication channels between all staff and departments to ensure industry knowledge and programme content is shared
* Be responsible for supporting both Media and Research departments with content opportunities and ideas
* Be responsible for the virtual event webcasting and online conference content
Skills and experience;
* Excellent attention to detail
* Professional communicator
* Commercially aware and an efficient administrator
* The ideal candidate will be articulate with strong written skills
* Able to research and adapt to new industries quickly
* Have an analytical mind and a proactive nature
* Need to be a team player with the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects
* Previous experience of working for a B2B company, or research/ journalistic led role would be an advantage as would an understanding of the post and parcel sector
