GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in exclusive partnership with a highly progressive multi site business who are recruiting currently for an experienced 360 degree HR Generalist to represent them as their HR Advisor across several sites, based out of their flourishing Hertfordshire HQ with some travel to other depots (1-2 days travel out of month maximum).
This is a key stand alone HR specialist role taking over the hot seat from the current HR Advisor who goes on Maternity leave in November working on a fixed term rolling contract basis, initially with a view of the contract being between 6-9 months but with a possibility of potentially extending past this term due to business needs.

HR ADVISOR (6-9 months fixed term approx., potentially longer TBC)
Overview of the Role:
* Responsible for managing & leading all HR related activities, in line with the companies Operational & HR / ER strategy, effectively supporting the SMT in a 360-degree HR Generalist capacity, acting as the go to HR expert in all thing’s legislation, compliance & law.
Reports into:
* Reporting into the Managing Director
Daily Duties include:
* Deal with all internal and external HR related enquiries or requests, offering guidance & full support to the SMT / Directors plus to all full-time employees too (HR/ER & Engagement)
* Update & maintain hard and digital copies of employees' records in line with RTW / compliance measures
* Drive the companies end to end recruitment & on boarding process from short-listing applicants, interviewing, offering right through to appointing the right personnel
* Managing probationary periods and ensuring employee development is monitored closely
* Supporting the SMT with employee performance management and any ER / Employee Engagement activity, with a focus on the continuous development & progression of all FTE’s
* Coach, mentor & develop the SMT / Directors on all HR & ER policies, required compliance & legislation, employment law, well-being diversity & full inclusion processes
* Schedule SMT / Departmental meetings, applicant/s interviews, HR & ER / Training events, maintaining agendas and effectively synchronising diaries to complete set tasks
* Book, Coordinate and plan effective skills training sessions and seminars for all FTE’s / SMT
* Managing the Employee life cycle & supporting FTE’s where needed during their career
* Ensuring RTW / Employability checks are carried out & fully compliant at all times
* Produce and submit MI / KPI reports on general HR activity inc. staff turnover, retention, hiring numbers, leavers, outstanding vacancies, salary benchmarking etc.
* Assisting the operation with payroll and other ad-hoc HR/ER projects
Qualification & Experience Required:
* CIPD Level 3 or time served in a comparable HR Advisor, HR Officer, HR Manager, Personnel Manager, People Advisor, People Officer, People Manager, HR Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner, HR & Recruitment Manager, HR & Training Manager, ER Specialist, HR & ER Manager or similar roles
* From Construction, Specialist Machinery, Plant Machinery, Engineering, Manufacturing or Distribution would be useful but all sectors considered
* Previous experience of working in a multi-site operation would be beneficial but not a must
* Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance & Legislation, ER & Employee Engagement
* A strong HR Business Partner who is used to working closely with SMT / Directors
* Strong communicator at all levels using all formats (face to face, telephone, video call etc.)
