Scope & Purpose

The Configuration Technician (Level2) will be delivering IT service solutions to hospitality and retail customers, and continuously expanding the client base. We are looking for an experienced Technician with knowledge of bespoke IT deployments.

Duties will include but not limited to:

* Configuration and testing duties across a variety of IT hardware such as tablets, laptops, customer order displays, kiosks, tills, switches, routers and servers

* Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics where required.

* Manage personal tasks inline with schedule of works

* Perform quality control checks in line with departmental expectations, raising concerns where applicable

* Carry out any other duties such as maintenance, evaluation and hardware cleaning.

The successful candidate will have/be:

* Experience in either the IT sector, configuration or EPOS sector with exposure to a multitude of networking, hardware and software deployments.

* Qualified to college level (IT) / A-level (IT) or similar equivalent qualification(s).

* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, able to communicate concisely and clearly at all levels with both internal and external customers.

* Physically adaptable and capable, recognising the physical elements of the role

* Good understanding and working knowledge of modern windows operating systems.

* Ability to work to a high level of concentration while performing repetitive or basic configurations tasks.

* Excellent attention to detail, time management and self-motivation.

* High Microsoft Office literacy knowledge

* Desirable Skill: Basic electrical knowledge

The hours of work are full time, Monday – Friday 8:30 – 17:30, inclusive of a one-hour daily break. A degree of flexibility will be required, depending on workload.
