Transparent Care is a specialist support provider of Supported living & Residential services for adults with learning disabilities. Our vision is to offer high quality care and support in an environment that promotes positive wellbeing and maximises people’s potential to live as independently as possible.
We asked the people we support what they wanted in their support team, and they said:
“We would like a kind, helpful, friendly, funny people who are preferably drivers who can take us out in town for lunch”
“Someone who will help me brush my teeth, and strong to push me in my wheelchair”
“Eager to help me clean my room and support me to go to the gym every week”
“They would like dancing, going shopping and having their nails painted”
“A lady who will take me out in my car and bring me a diary so I can put birthdays in it”
“Someone who can take me swimming and likes the outside so I can ride my bike”
The manager said
“People who are committed to meeting the needs of all the people who live here. From a team perspective I think it is important they have a good sense of humour and are friendly. The job can be tough and if they can keep smiling it makes a better team spirit.”
