My client is seeking an imaginative and capable individual with a background in metal working to join the team as a 3D machine technician. You will be trained to format and configure special purpose cutting edge machinery to produce prototype and specialist parts for a variety of customers, from the Aerospace and Formula 1 sectors all the way through to the entertainment industry. Customers have a variety of requirements and standards so there will be a constant challenge to understand what is required and to ensure that the product is delivered to the client specifications.
The equipment is state of the art and is constantly being developed so you will need to keep abreast of changes and alterations as you progress in your career with the company. There are excellent future opportunities for the successful candidate.
To be considered you will need to demonstrate:
A background in mechanical fitting, engineering or machiningOR
Recently completed a CITY & Guilds NVQ2 or above in a mechanical engineering discipline
Knowledge of the use and operation of workshop machinery to include lathes, mills, drills etc.
Computer literate
Examples of self learning either within or outside of a working environmentIn return the company offers
