An 'Outstanding' specialist school for girls with MLD in Beaconsfield is seeking a primary teacher to join their team for Summer Term 2!  
   
All of their pupils have moderate learning difficulties and cognition needs. Most pupils also have speech, language and communication needs, delayed or disordered language skills. In addition, they may have physical, complex or emotional needs.  
   
The school benefits from outstanding modern facilities, all of the classrooms are fully equipped with interactive screens and access to class sets of laptops or iPads. All teachers are provided with a laptop that is renewed every three years. The school enjoys a recently modernised performing arts and music facilities that include the use of a dance studio, sound/recording studio and performance space, along with their exceptional sports facilities that caters for a range of indoor and outdoor activities including mountain biking, trampolining, cycling, football and many others. The school also enjoys use of its spacious swimming pool designed by a bespoke architect, as part of an upgrade of the sports facilities at Alfriston, the architects developed a concertinalike roof structure that echoes the shape of the pitched roofs on other buildings in the area causing minimal sound reverberation which is beneficial for the use of our students with their Special Educational Needs.  
   
Main Core Duties  
-Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs and interests of pupils.  
-Promote a wide range of teaching and learning styles to enable students of all abilities to be appropriately challenged.  
-Ensure that students work in a positive, stimulating environment where work is displayed and achievements rewarded.  
-Contribute to the whole school cycles of assessment, recording and reporting including Annual Reviews; Academic Reviews and Parents Evenings. -Be involved in pastoral care and responsibilities.
