Senior Estimator – £90,000 + Healthcare + Annual Bonus + Car Allowance

We are currently working with a very successful housebuilder operating in Buckinghamshire region who are currently looking for an estimator to help oversee all sites.

Responsibilities will include:

The function of an Estimator is to evaluate pre-development build costs using the highest degree of accuracy with the end goal of achieving precise budgets for new projects. This will be achieved through producing viabilities for land purchase, formulating and maintaining a library of base estimate costs, while updating these as required to reflect market conditions.

Additionally, you will:

* Ensure project costs are kept in check through the production and analysis of forecasts.

* Create cost lists for all applicable aspects of construction projects.

* Calculate development material, labour, equipment, and transport costs.

* Stay up to date on inflation and exchange rate considerations.

* Ensure development requirements are met while adhering to client specifications.

* Compile bids for presentation to clients.

Candidates should have:

* Worked with a housing developer, main contractor, or affordable housing contractor. previously.

* Experience as an Estimator or Surveyor.

* High proficiency in numeracy and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

* A methodical and well-organised approach to work.

This is an excellent role with a successful housebuilding business that would suit someone with a background as an Estimator or similar and is looking to broaden their horizons by working on some of the country’s most prestigious housing developments.
