Fawkes & Reece are working with an established local developer who work on Traditional and New Build housing across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Surrey for a Buyer.

Your role as a Buyer will be to build on current and establish new relationships with the supply chain whilst enhancing the businesses professional credibility to deliver on projects. You will work closely with a range of teams collaboratively to ensure that any projects are sufficiently resourced.

Working under the Buying Manager to ensure all buying requirements are met. You will be involved in (but not limited to):

Responsible for material procurement for several on-going projects
Obtain quotes / prices from suppliers for project specific items and for the estimating department for tenders
Work closely with the project team to ensure orders are placed in line with programme
Liaise with the internal teams to ensure company plant use is maximised
Regular reporting of project costs against tender
Be aware of new materials and suppliers that can help assist the business
Control all purchasing administration and ensure all transactions are completed and recorded correctly
Manage any potential supply problems and work to find solutions.You will ideally have 3 years experience working within a buying team for a developer or Main contractor. You will also have experience using COINS.
