The client offers a managed storage, maintenance and technical support service to freelancers working in the film and television industries, as well as specialist rental equipment to film production companies. Brief Role Description
The role is responsible for keeping them organised, including, but not limited to; diary management, calendar/travel bookings, scheduling meetings & social engagements, as well as undertaking administration tasks for some office functions & liaising with staff and customers on a day to day basis. This exciting opportunity requires a self-motivated, highly organised, proactive and personable individual with a good sense of humour, strong work ethic and positive can-do attitude. The role would suit someone who has experience of scheduling engineering visits or working in a fast-paced environment. For the right candidate, working from home partially would be considered once you have a firm understanding of the role.
Role and Responsibilities
• Email and dairy management
• Booking travel and other functions
• Answering the phone, responding to email queries
• Preparing/sending documents as required
• Various office admin tasks as directed
• Clerical tasks including preparing/sending reports, logs, and records, and maintaining databases
• Dealing with suppliers and purchasing of technical equipment
• Ad hoc tasks relating to your role
Candidate Requirements
• Common sense and initiative, with the ability to work unsupervised under pressure
• Conscientious with a positive can-do attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn at a fast pace
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Flexibility – the company priorities often change unexpectedly, candidates need to possess the ability to switch tasks at short notice to meet the business needs
• Discretion – working in highly sensitive areas of film production
• Computer literate – strong competency with Google Drive, the MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Outlook & Apple, with ability to learn new programs quickly
• A creative thinker with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively throughout an organisation
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work with people at all levels is essential
• Attention to detail, organisation, follow-through, initiative, and ability to identify and anticipate challenges before they arise is key
Working Conditions
• 40 hour week.
• We are flexible on your working hours as some of the week can be self-managed.
• Holiday 33 days per year including bank holidays.
