Job Title: Delivery Driver

The delivery drivers duties will involve:

– Delivering bins to customers
– Providing a good level of customer service.
– Responsible for delivering a safe and effective frontline commercial service to customers and the wider community.
The delivery driver will responsible for driving a range of 3.5t to 7.5t vehicles across the Aylesbury Vale district to retrieve and deliver both domestic and commercial customer containers. This role is key to providing an essential service to our residents and local communities, and as the front line representatives, the driver will ensure a professional image is presented by their team.

The driver will be responsible for the vehicle in their charge, carrying out daily vehicle inspections and maintaining it to ensure it is clean and tidy. The Delivery Driver will be expected to liaise with the onsite Workshop in regard to the maintenance of their. The Delivery Driver will ensure that that the necessary uniform and personal protective equipment and clothing is worn by all members of their team as instructed within the relevant procedures.

An ideal Delivery Driver hold the following skills and experiences:

Current driving licence and safe driving history
Cat 1 licence and evidence of significant post qualification driving experience
Ability to communicate effectively and have a positive and proactive approach
Demonstrable ability to be punctual, reliable and work in all weather conditions
