Our client is a 'not-for-profit' offering affordable housing for people in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. As one of the leading local social housing providers, they make a significant social and economic contribution to the communities and neighbourhoods they work in.

They are not part of any District or County Council but operate independently whilst working closely with local authority partners.

As a Community Engagement Officer, you will help to deliver community projects and events, undertaking planning and organisational activity as well as engaging with residents. You will also support with running and providing advice to resident groups, committees and panels.

You will Support the development of strong resident voices and self-sustaining communities by working directly with them – helping residents identify and articulate theirs and their communities' needs to enhance their community and quality of life.

Working for a local authority, charity or in any housing officer role would be advantageous, but overall great communication skills and project management experience will be required.

Ideally you will have knowledge of the values and principles of community services, experience of with grant applications, analytical skills and high levels of organisational skills.

Approximate commutable locations for this opportunity are Aylesbury, Princes Risborough, High Wycombe, Oxford, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Bicester, Amersham, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas.
