Venesky-Brown is currently looking to recruit a Social Value Executive to work within our construction team on a permanent basis with a salary of £24,000 – £34,000 per annum. Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.

About The Job
Venesky-Brown are passionate about delivering Social Value in partnership with our clients, so that the wider community can benefit from positive economic, social, and environmental impacts of our contracts. The successful candidate will need to be a self-motivated, team player with great communication skills and a genuine desire to help people. We aim to support people from all groups across the community into fantastic work opportunities.
More specifically:
Identifying KPI’s and develop bespoke high impact social value plans and programmes aligned to priorities, customer and community needs
Creating long term relationships with teams, customers, supply chain and local organisations to deliver social value outcomes
Plan and manage meetings with teams and customers, setting targets, measures and reporting social value created throughout the project life cycle
Tracking & Reporting of outcomes of Social Value activities on a Social Value Action Plan and specific client reporting tools
Collection and analysis of data – monitoring the number of underrepresented working groups in placements within our clients
Volunteering in the community & local community representation – there will be ad-hoc project related events you’ll need to get the VB branded gear on for and attend. These could be recruitment fairs, careers workshops, charity days or work in local schools
Facilitating collaborative planning workshops with teams, customers, supply chain and wider stakeholders to identify local need and opportunities
Planning and facilitate employability workshops for different community groups
About You
You have social value experience and a background in CSR/sustainability with a good working knowledge of implementing social value programmes
Your full of great, innovative ideas and ways to achieve Social Value targets
You like shouting about your achievements and creating great social media posts and new articles for internal and external media
You have a strong understanding of the Public Services (Social Value) Act and what best practice is for companies in meeting these targets
Your communication skills will be outstanding, particularly when it comes to speaking with key client contacts and external stakeholders
You are able to manage multiple workstreams, projects and plan internal resources accordingly
Strong attention to detail and epic organisational skills are in your wheelhouse
You are happy to muck-in where required but can also get your head down and work independently when needed – and you know when to ask for help!
You’re a thoughtful and compassionate team player who is excited at the prospect of being part of something huge
