Senior Payroll Administrator
Here at Orion Electrotech we offer both contract and permanent recruitment services throughout the UK across our four core market sectors, Gas, Engineering, Aerospace and Construction. We are ranked 11th in "The Sunday Times top 100 companies to work for” 2020 and we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our busy payroll team in Aylesbury on a temp/permanent basis.
The role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines as part of an existing team, providing support and cover for the Senior Payroll Administrators. The role will see through the whole payroll process from start to finish.
Your duties will include:
* Processing of a weekly contractor payroll, including setting up new contractors with our merit payroll system and issuing P45s to leavers
* Chasing up and inputting contractor timesheets onto Merit (600 + timesheets within the team)
* Chase up contractor invoices and match them to payments on the Merit system.
* Ensuring any queries from contractors or umbrella companies are dealt with in a timely fashion.
* Liaising with credit Control to ensure all new client details are checked and set up in Sage and Merit.
* Daily communication with the sales consultants
* Sending FPS/EPS to HMRC
* Processing auto enrolment pensions through payroll and uploading pension file or manually entering figures in to pension portal and processing payment
* Liaising with Merit Payroll Software with any technical issue.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience with large volume weekly payroll
Good excel skills
Ideally Merit payroll software experience but not essential
Excellent attention to detail
