Enforcement and Training Manager
Full Time – 37 hours
Location – Marlow Fire Station, Brigade Headquarters in Aylesbury or in Milton Keynes Offices
Permanent Contract
£41,166 – £42,208 per annum

The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced Fire Safety professional, who has worked extensively in a regulatory / legal framework.
They will ensure the Service delivers a consistent approach to the application of Enforcement measures under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. The successful applicant must be proactive, enthusiastic, able to work on their own and as part of a team.
You will be able to interpret and apply Fire Safety legislation in a practical and proportionate way, by addressing any deficiencies appropriately, and advising partners of suitable next steps.
Responsible for the management and support of all Fire Safety Enforcement activities undertaken for the Service, including processes, to ensure a fair and equitable approach is taken in all Enforcement activity, in line with the Services Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy. Maintaining quality assurance of all activities undertaken in relation to Enforcement.
You will coordinate the development of individuals across Protection teams, in line with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Competency Framework, cognisant of changes in fire safety legislation (Fire Safety Bill) in order to promote high levels of technical competence.
You may be required to attend a number of specialist technical courses remote from your base location. There will also be a regular need to travel to fulfil the areas of responsibility for this role, so a full driving licence is essential.
The successful candidate will work either in Marlow Fire Station, Brigade Headquarters in Aylesbury or in Milton Keynes Offices.
