Lead Formulation Scientist
Laboratory Solutions are working with an inspiring beauty company that due to growing at a rapid speed, have exciting expansion plans in Aylesbury. Our clients are currently on the search for a Lead Formulation Scientist to join their amazing journey and guide the development of their innovative expanding and existing product range.
As the Lead Formulation Scientist, you will act as a top-level technical specialist and will use your expertise in cosmetic formulation and ingredient development to create high-tech formulas. You will mentor the team and be an ambassador for solutions that produce measurable results as well as an amazing experience for their consumers.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Develop high-level formulas for personal care applications based on marketing specification and best solutions.
* Source and test raw materials offering a professional judgement with the aim to evaluate and develop new products and technologies.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the team of scientists
* You will be the in-house adviser on key scientific discipline areas and optimum blending procedures.
* Collaborate with external parties during defined projects and proactively in order to maximise potential opportunities.
To be considered for this amazing opportunity, the successful candidate must:
* Have a related degree qualification
* A minimum of 5 years working within a similar role
* SPF formulation knowledge would be an advantage
* Have worked effectively in cross functional teams to drive results
* Strong project management and communication skills
* Have a passion for skincare, innovation with a constant focus on customer needs
