Position: Clinical Psychologist in Eating Disorders – Band 8a

Location: Oxford

£44.00 -£70.00p/h

Are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist? Do you have experience in helping people with Eating Disorders? Medacs Healthcare is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work in an NHS Trust on an ongoing basis in Oxford. Current NMC Pin No
Hep B, MMR, Varicella and TB scar proof
Minimum 6 months recent relevant UK experienceResponsibilities

To provide specialist psychological assessments of patients referred to the team
To make skilled evaluations to formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a patient's mental health problems
To implement a range of highly specialist psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups within and across the Adult Eating Disorder service
To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options
To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of patients
To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to patients' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan
To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual patients and to provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management
To act as care co-ordinator, where appropriate, for a case load of patients
To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the HCPC and BPS as well as Trust policies and proceduresBenefits
