The Role of the Woodworking Applications Engineer:
You will be responsible for a providing a training and demonstrations to numerous customers across the south of the UK. You will be meeting with & speaking daily to a range of stakeholders, from manufacturing & production engineers through to procurement managers and board level personnel. Solving technical issues and challenges you will use your experience to solve manufacturing and production problems. You'll also discuss best practice methods to help reduce wastage, increase production and ensure customers are getting the best out of their woodworking software. There's also a need to provide help and support to the internal team too.
The Candidate for the Woodworking Applications Engineer Position:
The successful candidate must be from an engineering manufacturing/production background, ideally within furniture manufacturing, wood production/machining or bench joinery. The customers all manufacture products with from wood, so a knowledge or experience of working within this industry would be a distinct advantage. An understanding of the manufacturing sector is essential.
You must have hands on engineering, manufacturing or production experience from joinery, furniture production, or related woodworking industries
Experience of CAD/CAM and wood routing is very beneficial
You'll have experience supervising or training staff
Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic
Full, valid UK driving licence
Weekly access to offices in Warwickshire, Hampshire, or BuckinghamshireThe Package for the Woodworking Applications Engineer

Hybrid working role with 1-2 days from home, 1-2 days in the office, 1-2 days in the field.
