M3 System Expert – Infor M3

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you the 'go to' person in IT for all things M3? Can you provide leadership and guidance for M3 related issues and projects? Do you take ownership and responsibility to user issues, and are you the lead resource for inhouse development and enhancement projects within the M3 environment?
My client is looking for an M3 System Expert for Infor M3 to look after M3 related projects and enhancements, providing in-house development skills whilst ensuring that all activities follow industry best practice and comply with company internal audit and regulatory (SOX) controls. You will work alongside other members of the M3 CoE and the wider EMEA IT Team, providing thought leadership and guidance in M3 and may require managing of external resources such as 3rd party support providers or technical consultants.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
You will be a subject matter expert and lead technical support specialist to provide day to day support, maintenance and development of M3 environments
You will lead technical development and solution design resource for IT projects such as M3 enhancements, server migrations / data base enhancements and upgrades
You will identify and leverage the system capabilities of M3 to assist with the resolution of business related issues or provide insight into process improvements, championing new ideas where relevant
Your routine maintenance will include daily checks to ensure system availability and peak performance.
In the event of a system failure, you will be required to carry out the necessary troubleshooting and recovery actions in order to correct the issue or bring the service back on line in a controlled and efficient manner. This may include working out of normal office hours as necessary
You will be responsible for maintenance of all system and technical documentation in relation to the M3 environments, for support and audit purposes
You will assist in alignment with other regulatory controls for IT, system and data compliance
You will maintain knowledge of industry trends and new technologies to help develop capabilities as necessary
Whilst the primary purpose of this role is focused on Infor M3 and its associated technologies, you will be expected to become involved in other technologies and applications as required to support the European business
WHAT YOU BRING:
Essential:
Technically proficient and hands-on in M3 technologies and components, including development skills in MEC, Event Hub/Event Analytics, Smart Office, LCM and GRID
Good working knowledge of M3 business processes around supply chain fulfilment, finance (order to cash) and manufacturing
Awareness of associated tools relevant to the role and that could be of use to the team and wider business, such as IIS, .NET, SharePoint, Java etc.
Awareness of M3 installations hosted from an IBM i environment
Relevant professional qualifications in Infor M3 and best practiceDesirable:
An education to degree level or have equivalent industry experience.
Proven project delivery experience, and exposure to project management methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Be a flexible team player with a positive "can-do" attitude to their work
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:
This role is office based at the European Headquarters in Aylesbury, UK with very occasional travel to other sites if required in the completion of duties or project work. Travel to non-Aylesbury locations will be limited and subject to reasonable advanced notice
A flexible approach to working outside of these hours is required to provide out of hours support, or for holiday / sickness cover. A full, clean driving license is essential.
