IT Infrastructure Engineer
Working with a well-known and public-facing organisation of circa 600 IT users, providing services to tens-of-thousands, you'll be part of a small, highly capable IT team supporting fairly complex IT Infrastructure and contributing to large-scale projects.
You'll work closely with infrastructure peers, supporting a variety of projects relating to business and systems separation, along with assisting in resolving a number of security audit findings and closing off a host of security vulnerabilities flagged up by a pen-test report. You will also support the general administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems and act as a 3rd line escalation point for tickets escalated up from the Service Desk.
Minimum required skills and experience
Strong Windows Server 2012 + experience
Active Directory / Group Policy / DNS / DHCP / WSUS
Citrix XenApp 7.x experience
Managing / maintaining images
VMWare experience
Provisioning / Managing / maintaining VMs
ITIL foundation – Incident / Problem / Change processes
NetApp
Creating / Managing NFS & CIFS volumes
Office 365 Administration
Desirable (non-essential) experience;
Tenable io (Vulnerability scanning and remediation of vulnerabilities)
Mobile Device Management (Soti MobiControl)
Networking (Cisco or HP)
Scripting (Powershell / VBScript)
SharePoint
CheckPoint firewalls (rule base modification)
Start ASAP.
Initial contract through until end of year. Highly likely extension/longevity.
Location is Aylesbury. Could also be London based.
Paying up to £500p/d depending on experience.
Off-payroll working rules apply to this engagement (i.e. it is "inside of IR35). Note; this is the gross daily budget for resource, from which will be deducted employers liabilities (Employers NI, Apprenticeship levy). You will be paid the net amount, minus your employee liabilities which will be deducted and paid on your behalf (Employee NI, Income Tax etc)
