A unique opportunity to join a forward thinking, expanding company as a Head of IT. A newly created position due to a recent restructure and a key role within the senior management team.

The Head of IT will be responsible for leading, planning and directing the IT teams to ensure that they align and support the IT strategy. You will also have responsibility for the delivery of IT development, change and support to achieve some exciting business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Formulating strategies and plans to deliver against company objectives
Manage the Information Systems team – including development, service and support
Manage operational continuity and resilience of operations, systems and technology
Overall accountability for IT policies, procedures, standards etc
Maintain IT data and records with appropriate risk mitigation procedures

What you'll need

Degree educated
5 years experience in software development and supervision
5 years experience working in an IT management capacity
Experience in code control and environment management
Experience working in a distributed development environment with COBOL, C#, SQL, MQ, JL
Solutions architect experience
Acquisition and merger experience
Senior level IT management experience in a life assurance company (highly beneficial) What you'll get in return
