Wanting a change – interested in repairing some of the UK's heaviest mobile cranes?
Can you service and repair commercial HGV's or construction vehicles?
Our client is an expanding international crane manufacturer. They have a reputation for building robust and innovative heavy vehicles that are used in some of the most complex lifts across the globe.
They are currently recruiting for a Workshop Engineer – someone who would like to become a true technical expert on their own extensive brand of heavy hydraulic mobile cranes.
You'll receive the best of both worlds; robust manufacturer training and long-term technical development. This will keep you up to date with their advancing technology and the wider industry, ensuring your skills never fall behind.
What's involved?
You'll be working directly for the manufacturer.
It's a workshop role Monday to Friday – 08:00-16:30.
These are specialist vehicles – think of 6 axle, 40T, 18 meter long machines. Typically the booms can extend 80 meters and lift up to 400 tonnes.
Once up to speed you'll work as part of a specialist team with a responsibility for extensive overhauls and complex repairs to both the cranes and the vehicles that they are part of.
The benefits?
You'll be part of a small, advanced engineering team.
They'll support you to become a first-class engineer. If you've an eye on becoming a Workshop Supervisor or potentially a Field Service Engineer representing a national organisation then this could be the path.
You'll receive:
Overtime at TX1.5 – should you wish to work it – with an OTE of circa £43K
5% annual bonus (on individual and company performance)
Annual pay reviews
Day shift – allowing a great work-life balance
5% contributory pension & Life Assurance
Extensive manufacturer training with the potential to be trained overseas
Long-term progression with an expanding national company
Requirements:
Applicants need to be qualified HGV Technicians or Heavy Plant Fitters.
You'll need to be capable of diagnosing heavy mechanical, hydraulic & electrical faults on engines, gearboxes, booms etc.
