Sheet Metal Skilled Operative – Tube Bending & Manipulation

The Role

The role is for a Skilled Operative working for a global leader in motorsport & aerospace components to work closely with the supervisor on sheet metal processes to tight deadlines.

Prepare and cut tubes from engineering drawings.
Working with a variety of materials i.e. stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, Inconel & titanium.
Operating NC and CNC tube bending machines.
Bending materials to provided patterns.
Hands on sheet metal work.
Working from engineering drawings to prepare materials for the engineering teams – cutting by hand or machine.
Using relevant workshop machinery.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; You will have exposure in a similar position and will come from a hands on sheet metal or tube bending background. Any previous experience in NC or CNC tube bending would be advantageous but training can be provided for somebody with a good engineering ability & understanding.

You will have the ability to work from & understand engineering drawings.
Engineering & problem-solving experience is essential.
Strong sheet metal or engineering background and knowledge biased towards sheet metal production work.
