As a Technical Project Manager your duties will include:
Driving and managing international Type Approval projects to ensure deadlines are met, and PCS corporate performance metrics are adhered to.
Facilitating and participating in all aspects of international project management, including providing quotations, schedules, customer status reporting and conference calls.
Providing technical solutions and expertise customer and in-house challenges.
Negotiating and liaising with Government Regulators, Certification Bodies, and Test Houses to provide pragmatic & constructive solutions to regulatory challenges.
Assisting with customer enquiries and providing day to day support for customers on a range of radio type approval and technical matters.
Review product documents (such as test reports, circuit and PCB layout diagrams) to ensure they are suitable for Type Approval and product certification applications.
Prepare and pre-test engineering samples before they are shipped to overseas test laboratories.
Support formal testing at overseas type approval test laboratories, as needed.
Manage and support international research projects on new technologies, and technical developments within the industry.
The successful Technical Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to bachelor’s degree in a relevant field – e.g Engineering (any discipline), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science etc.
Have proven industry experience in the field of project management with an engineering focus.
Be technically minded, and have some previous experience with reviewing, analysing, and interpreting engineering documents, drawings and test reports.
Have experience using RF measurement equipment (Spectrum analyser) and familiarity with conformity testing on modern radio data communications technologies (e.g BT, WLAN)
Have excellent command of English languages (both written and spoken) – a second language would be advantageous
Good knowledge of computers and MS Office Professional suite
Willing to travel internationally (<10% of the time)
