A global top 20 Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) organisation are seeking a Regulatory Engineer to join their team in Aylesbury offering a salary of up to £32,000. They are active in industries from energy, to food, water, to consumer products to construction, to telecommunications.
Remote working will be considered after a successful probation.
For over 15 years they are an industry leader in Type Approval and Regulatory Certification of wireless products, consumer, and industrial electrical goods with a strong international focus, with offices in the UK and Asia, conducting business operations with Government Regulators and Test Laboratories in over 150 countries globally, providing regulatory solutions for many of the world’s leading and most recognisable electronics manufacturers.
As a Regulatory Engineer you will:
Drive and manage international Type Approval projects to ensure deadlines are met, and PCS corporate performance metrics are adhered to.
Provide technical solutions and expertise to both customer and in-house technical challenges.
Assist with customer enquiries and providing day to day support for customers on a range of radio type approval and technical matters.
Review technical product documents (such as test reports, circuit, and PCB layout diagrams) to ensure they are suitable for Type Approval and product certification applications.
Prepare and pre-test engineering samples before they are shipped to overseas test laboratories.
Support formal testing at overseas type approval test laboratories, as needed.
Manage and support international research projects on new technologies, and technical developments within the industry.
Undertake technical research activities.
You must have a willingness to travel solo (<10% of the time and global Covid restrictions permitting).
We are looking for a Regulatory Engineer with the following skills and experience:
An appropriate recognised technical qualification (HND etc) or degree in Engineering (any discipline) Physics, Chemistry, Materials or Computational Sciences.
Experience working in a technical capacity in any technical / engineering-based industry.
A working level knowledge of, with the ability to review and interpret engineering & technical documents such as test reports, schematic / mechanical drawings, circuit layout diagrams etc.
Previous hands-on practical experience with test and measurement techniques, and laboratory equipment such as a spectrum analyser or oscilloscope.
A willingness and ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues of a technical / engineering matter
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with people at all levels.
Commercially minded & customer focused.
Practicality. persistence and flexibility.
Proven ability to prioritise work and deliver under pressure.
