Carmichael are seeking an experienced project Engineer for a highways project based in Aylesbury.

The position will initially be nights, however as the projects moves forward this will then move over to days.

The person

• Understand and interpret drawings and specifications
• Provide engineering expertise and support to the subcontractor team
• Ensure accurate implementation of all engineering controls by the subcontractor team
• Ensure accurate ‘as built’ records of the works
• Measure and report compliance
• Ensure risk assessments and method statements for safe execution of works

Experience

• Experience working with general engineering
• Working knowledge of planning works
• Knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering
• Good IT Skills with MS packages
• CSCS Card
• Degree in civil engineering/HNC
• Ability to communicate with subcontractors and other site based workforce
• Subcontractor management
• Roads, earthworks, drainage and asphalt experience is essential for this project

The position will be offered initially as LTD however PAYE will be implemented from April 2021
