Project Engineer, Permanent position, upto £50,000 dependent on experience
This is an exciting role within a developing and growing business which has an unrivalled reputation globally as a leading designer and manufacturer of high speed automated machinery.
To be successful in this role you will:
Ensure the set goals and targets within manufacturing are achieved with regard to time-scale, quality and accuracy
Interpret project pack from Design Office to create manufacturing project and capacity plans
Produce planning data from MS Project to assist Operations Manager
Determine manufacturing sequences
Determine in-house and sub-contract manufacturing requirements
Ensure project plans are maintained and relevant departments made aware of changes
Produce clear and accurate documentation and manufacturing work instructions
Document the progress of projects and provide regular up-dates to the management team
Proven purchasing ability
What you'll bring to the role:
Educated to degree level (ideally in mechanical engineering)
Ideally experience or knowledge of engineering projects
Knowledge and experience of managing projects (university or work-related)
Experience of using Microsoft Project
Exceptional numerical skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Time management and prioritisation skills
Ability to assimilate information from different sources to generate achievable plans
Attention to detail with ability to work under pressure
Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with all other departments throughout the business
Effective interpersonal, written communication and analytical skills
Ability to meet strict time targets
Leadership potential
The ability to set high standards within a team dynamic
Reduce costs of procurement and manufacture
