Our client is requiring Project Engineers at varying levels in your career to offer a chance to work on some of the most prestigious civils projects in the country for a leading brand in their field, employing 2000 staff world wide Your role will be to assist with the planning and management, and oversee the installation, of world class structural and /or geotechnical and/or environmental instrumentation and monitoring systems on behalf of various clients.
Core Activities, Duties and Key Tasks:

Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget
*
Provide regular feedback to the Project Manager regarding on site progress
*
Provide cover for the Project Manager during leave periods
*
Review specifications and instrumentation designs and produce Monitoring Design Plans to address them
*
Produce documentation for works on a variety of third party assets such as London Underground, Network Rail and other main contractors
*
Producing site specific safety documentation including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work, Works package plans, Task Briefing Sheets, etc. for review
*
Organise access to various third party properties/infrastructures
*
Provide office based support to onsite teams during installation works
*
Attending site as required to help solve technical issues and to undertakeroutine/reactive safety inspections
*
Obtain quotations from sub-contractors for various activities e.g. Electricians, Manual, Survey Works etc.
*
Hire in subcontractors and agency staff as required
*
Hire in Equipment and tools as required
*
Procure equipment for projects and ensure it is delivered to the right location at the right time
*
Provide programme information to assist the Project Manager and Operations Manager
*
Provide relevant technical support to client and other parties concerned with system monitoring results
*
Attend meeting with clients and other third parties (both technical and commercial), as required
*
Receive data and information from sub-contractors and ensure it is correctly actioned, processed and filed
*
Receive and process Shift Reports and installation details from site staff, ensuring that all required information is provided
*
Produce installation reports, drawings and as-built reports
*
Contribute to current Health and Safety policy (including Near Miss Reporting, Legislation change etc.)
*
The post holder will be required to perform other reasonable duties at the request of senior staff. This job description is subject to amendment in line with the developing service and following consultation with the post holder.
Key Qualifitcations and Skills (not all essential):
*
GCSE English, Mathematics and Science (A-C) or equivalent.
*
A-Levels or equivalent
*
Relevant University Degree (i.e. Civil Engineering, Surveying, Earth Science etc.) Driving Licence
*
CSCS Card
*
DLR Track Awareness Card
*
Sentinel Card (with PTS and LU ICI)
*
Good organisational and information management skills Good interpersonal and communication skills
*
Design and development of spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel Production of detailed reports in Microsoft Word
*
Knowledge of CAD systems (AutoCAD, Microstation) Knowledge of instrumentation, monitoring and survey
In this role you can work from home, however it will involve travel into London and the M25 as well as the Chilterns
