My client is a principal supplier of components and assemblies to various sectors. The company has become extremely well know in a number of sectors, which includes the Scientific and renewables industries, for producing high quality parts used in a variety of well known products.
Due to the companies continued success they are seeking a NPI PROJECT MANAGER to join one of the company's manufacturing facilities in Aylesbury.
The role will be to join an existing team of professionals who design specialised components for a variety of applications.
Your role will be to take various client briefs and designs from initial concept and into production, supporting the project management and procurement teams and working closely with the customers to ensure that their needs are met. The role will mean working on a variety of projects sometimes with conflicting deadlines as this is a fast paced and challenging environment. The role will require strong knowledge in the production and manufacture of injection moulded and or cast components and how to get these into production as well as being able to manage small, multi functional teams often using matrix management methodology.
Continuous improvement is also a key area in this role, so you will need to demonstrate a talent for looking at things in a different way and adding value to each and every project.
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate:
* A recognised qualification in engineering, to degree level or equivalent
* Excellent understanding of the processes used in the manufacturre of cast and injection moulded components
* Excellent understanding of project management methodology
* Good understanding of MS office products
* Practical understanding of PFMEA / DFM principles
* Good understanding of NPI Methodology with examples of bringing a product from initially concept into manufacture.
