The Role

The role is for a Machine Shop Supervisor working for a market leading motorsport precision engineer based in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for the MAN management of a small team of skilled engineers & the programming offline of Hurco CNC Milling machines using Hypermill software.

* MAN management of a small team of skilled CNC Machinists.

* Programming Hurco CNC machining centres offline using HyperMILL CAM software.

* Managing of workload and division of work to staff.

* Reporting into senior management on a weekly basis.

* Managing recruitment, training, supervision & performance management for your team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; Preferably you will have at least three years of experience in a management/team leader role in precision engineering environment. It is essential that you have extensive experience in programming 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling machines, ideally Hurco machines using HyperMILL CAM software.

· MAN management of skilled and semi-skilled staff.

· Production management/supervisory experience in a precision engineering environment is advantageous although training can be provided for highly skilled Offline CNC Programmers with the required experience.

· Experience in working in a high-pressure/time-sensitive environment.
