Logistics Coordinator
Working for a hi-tech engineering company you will join a logistics team who are playing a vital role as the business evolves its technical product range and expands its engineering function. You will join a small team where you can make a real difference on future logistics projects working closely with internal sales and engineering teams.
You will play a key part in the order fulfilment process for the shipping of spares and systems and then assisting with the planning and admin of shipping and logistics for global orders.
There is a real buzz within the business as they are evolving the technology portfolio and improving processes and procedures to help them achieve the ambitious growth plans that they have in place. They have a track record of internal promotion and rewarding staff for exceptional performance. The logistics team are busy so days will be fast paced and as the sales output grows so will the team so there will be opportunities to learn new skills and move into new positions in the future.
Some of the day to day responsibilities will be…
Creating and managing sales orders on the company ERP system.
Participate in contract reviews to ensure that customer requirements are fully understood and translated to production.
Manage the sales order book communicating regularly with the teams and also passing on any shipping instructions to different sales regions.
Liaising with shipping companies to ensure orders are shipped on time whilst also making sure all associated documentation is correct.
Process imports from customers and suppliers worldwide.
Working closely with planning and internal engineering teams to ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
For this role we are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of logistics ideally within a technical engineering environment. You will have used ERP systems and will have a high level of attention to detail
