The Role
The role is for a hands on Insulation Supervisor leading a team of skilled Insulation Technicians and Welder/Fabricators. You will be leading and managing a team whilst remaining hands-on in insulating metal materials by use of a removable shield. You will be responsible for the manipulation of metal materials (mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel & exotics) using hand-tools to assist in the factory by metal cutting and insulation of materials.
* Operating a saw to cut various grades of metal material.
* Insulation of materials directly or by creation of a removable shield.
* Working closely with the team in the factory, assisting in production of high-tech fabricated sheet metal products for the motorsport and F1 industries.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; Preferably you will have at least three years of experience in a similar role or in welding/fabrication environment as a manager. You must be able to use/operate a variety of shop floor machinery and hand-tools. Ideally you will have worked previously in a fabrication or sheet metal production environment and will be eager to develop your skills. Any previous experience as an insulation technician in a motorsport of advanced engineering capacity would be extremely advantageous as would previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Welder/Fabricator in similar industries to motorsport and F1.
