Matchtech are excited to be working alongside a major Highways contractor in Buckinghamshire, and as result we have several live Site Supervisor requirements.

General Responsibilities:

* The day to day supervision of both self-delivery and SCP gangs to ensure that works are carried out safely and to the highest standard.

* The delivery of daily briefings (5 minute brief) to operatives

* Monitoring the performance and productivity of all gangs, identifying areas for improvement and taking action where required

* Working with the area programmer to ensure that all works are delivered within the required timescales and completed right first time.

* Complete walk, talk and build for programmed works, identifying risks that ensure the safe and efficient delivery of works in accordance with the business plan.

* Understanding the output and performance targets for key activities and taking action to improve where required

* Ensuring the correct recording of works using handheld devices by the operational staff

Experience:

* Knowledge of and experience in the maintenance, design and implementation of highway maintenance works including statutory processes such as NRSWA.

* Knowledge of and experience in use of construction materials used in highways. Appropriate knowledge and application of Health and Safety Legislation including CDM Regulations.

* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with operatives both internally and externally

* Knowledge of highway legislation, relevant design procedures, standards and good practice.

* Ability to measure work and convey instructions to others in accordance with contractual requirements

* Good IT skills

* Ability to work with minimum supervision with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

These roles are inside of IR35, and therefore successful applicants must work PAYE/UMBRELLA
