Global Product Marketing Manager
The Product Marketing Manager finds and develops effective marketing strategies to communicate the features and benefits of products to its customers. They will perform market research on trending products, establish timescales for releasing new products.
A Product Marketing Manager will develop sales tools, communicating the vision and value of products to the sales team and will create the unique selling points for all new products. They will promote and sell products or digital services through a variety of platforms such as Webinars, e-commerce/networking tools, exhibitions, speaker events etc.
Overall the primary responsibility of Product Marketing Manager is to create demand for products and services through effective marketing strategies. They ensure that products have shorter sales cycles and higher revenue returns.
Strategic elements of the role:
* Develop a global product marketing strategy for T&I and execute it with support from internal and external resources.
* Clearly craft and consistently communicate the T&I division’s vision to the regional sales team, and act as an internal advocate for our vision across the division.
* Develop annual and strategic marketing plans which are relevant for the Product Lines, with support from the Product Line Managers.
* Own the strategy for, deploy, and track all inbound and outbound marketing for T&I.
* Based on regional sales feedback and market & competitor research, help the Product Line Managers form a clear sales strategy (such as product tiering, monetization of software features, service/spares & maintenance contracts) and establish appropriate product pricing accordingly.
Day-to-day execution:
* With input from the Product Line Managers, maintain a comprehensive database of competitor information, gather market intelligence, and generate comparisons to support the Regional Sales teams as needed.
* Develop product marketing proposals with key messages around our unique selling points which set our products apart from the rest of the market. Communicate these messages to the global sales and distribution organizations.
* Generate sales support material such as videos, brochures, application notes, specification data sheets, web information and other promotional activities (eg. webinars).
* Ensure CRM and Business software is effectively implemented globally, databases maintained, and processes are optimized across the T&I business.
* Ensure product marketing content and resources are aligned with the growth strategy for the business.
Support of new business, product, & market growth:
* Plan and participate in new product launches with clear messaging and marketing collateral.
* Brief the press, inform internal PR teams, and use other relevant channels (such as social media) regarding new products and services to be launched in the market.
* Seek & identify the value of our products for emerging markets and for new applications.
* Ensure that opportunities for cross-selling between Product Lines are maximized.
* Perform surveys, interviews and focus groups for obtaining insights about the customer’s product usage and buyer personas to tap new opportunities.
* Present our products to both internal teams and to potential clients.
* Central point-of-contact for all global trade shows and exhibitions.
Education & Experience Requirement:
* Professional engineering and/or business/marketing qualification.
* Degree qualified (or equivalent).
* Ability to demonstrate the creation and execution of a clear division-wide product marketing strategy
* Strong international business development background.
* A background in, or a good general knowledge and understanding of, the PCBA, Semiconductor and capital goods markets and business.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills at all levels
* Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions and drive all areas of the business.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
* Experience of working with or in different cultures and regions.
* Excellent influencer with experience working with remote international teams.
* Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook to a good level.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
