COMPUTER SCIENTIST (MEDICAL ROBOTICS)

Salary: £30,000 – £45,000

Location: Aylesbury

Computer Scientist Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a computer scientist to join a £40m T/O medical engineering business based in the Aylesbury area. The company develop a range of medical devices, however are currently involved in a technically challenging medical robotics project, which this role will play a major part in.

The business is looking for a computer scientist at either a pure graduate level (BSc/MSc/PhD) or someone post-grad with a few years of industry experience. The role will be purely focused on the development of complex algorithms used within the system (with some emphasis on image processing and machine learning) while also developing additional modules to add further value to the end product.

The system is due for first stage clinical trials later in the year, so this is a fantastic opportunity for a keen computer scientist to work at an early stage on a technically advanced project!

Computer Scientist Requirements

* Must hold a firstclass BSc/MSc/PHD in Computer Science from a top UK university.

* Knowledge and experience of C++ is required.

* Qt and VTK knowledge are desirable.

* Some exposure to robotics, image processing and computer vision.

* The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplined engineering team.

* Excellent communication skills

* A logical problem solver with a strong academic background
