The Company
REED Engineering are currently working with one of our long-standing Engineering clients in Buckinghamshire who are specialists within the design and manufacture of bespoke industrial equipment to various sectors such as Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and more.
The Role
Due to growth, our client is seeking to employ a CNC operator and programmer on a permanent basis to join their busy production team in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for operating and programming the CNC machine according to engineering drawing requirements. Please read on for more details!
Responsibilities
To programme and operate the CNC Milling machine (with Fanuc controls)
To programme off-line and create and store programmes according to drawings
To work in line with the tolerances and dimensions stated on drawings; and to always maintain a high standard of workmanship.
To comply with all ISO 9001 quality requirements, as dictated by procedures and working practices.
To ensure all documents are followed and maintained according to defined requirements.
To always maximise the output of the machine to ensure that efficiencies are adhered to or improved.
To participate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out and ensure all defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the Production Supervisor
To ensure that all relevant Health & Safety practices are maintained and to always promote safe working.
To always keep the working area clean and tidy.
Working Hours:
37½ per week
Person Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience within a CNC Manufacturing environment.
Experience in efficiently programming the CNC machines to optimise machine utilisation and reduce cost
Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally
A strong work ethic, positive attitude with good attention to detail.
The ability to: solve problems, work under pressure, prioritise.
Must be able to work under your own initiative, but also to work as part of a team.
Package & Benefits
£26,200- £32,000 dependent upon experience / skill level
