Day Rate: £280 (PAYE)
Summary of the Assistant Project Manager:
I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager with a strong heavy civils background to work on the HS2 Enabling Works.
Responsibilities for the Assistant Project Manager:
Co-ordination of Client staff within the package delivery teams
Responsibility for combining reporting for the whole package
Ensure 4 weekly look ahead programme is produced and as-built recorded
Ensure timely delivery and sign off for CDM Control Points in advance of works
Promote Safe Systems of Work with the Supply chain
Forward planning to ensure all consents and permits are in place to deliver works
Manage construction activities
Support Senior Project Engineers with subcontractor management – all aspects
Weekly meetings, reporting and assist project controls function
Capture change and ensure records are kept for recovery of costs
Liaise with client and maintain good working relationships
Responsible for looking after their own package, managing 2x Senior Project Engineers and 2x Project Engineers
Capable of dealing with HS2, and ensuring all documentation is in placeRequirements for the Assistant Project Manager:
Relevant experience in general civil engineering
Degree in civil engineering/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering as a minimum
CSCS card
Good IT skills and able to work confidently with MS Office including Microsoft Project
Subcontractor management
Roads, Earthworks, Drainage and Asphalt experience is key for success of the project
