Our bespoke market leading client in Aylesbury are seeking an Assistant Project Manager, to join their growing team.
The successful Assistant Project Manager must have the following to succeed:
* Ideally, possess a working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication industry.
* Minimum of an HNC/HND in relevant Engineering subjects.
* Excellent communication skills with proven ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders including clients/ suppliers and staff.
* High resilience and adaptability to deal constructively with conflicting priorities.
* Commercially focused, with an eye for details on the project costs across multiple projects.
* Strong analytical skills – to develop, analyse and provide commentary on project plans and performance.
* High integrity – to build trust with all stakeholders.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of ERP systems would be beneficial.
The Successful Assistant Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
* Manage all projects to maximise value, On Time Delivery (OTD) and client satisfaction.
* Work across the full value chain, from our clients to our suppliers to understand their working methods and requirements.
* Act as a point of contact between the client
* Manage these projects proactively and mitigate identified risks, to make sure profitability and customer expectations are met.
* Internally liaise with departments to manage the design making sure that OTD and costs remain on track.
* Recognise, present, negotiate and secure any variations to orders with customers using internal specialist as required.
* Check that documentation is complete and complies with company procedures.
* Confirm that the main materials, inspection and certification are in accordance with the agreed scope.
* Develop a suitable programme of activities taking into account any special requirements/ features, inspections and contractual conditions.
* Monitor activities and liaise with internal departments to ensure that key milestones remain on track and that the key resources are available.
* Support the company to manage interactions such as drawing approvals, witness testing, transport, documentation, third party requirements
