Assistant Engineer/Technician

Based in Aylesbury (Buckinghamshire), the successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Engineer. As Assistant Engineer/Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the construction team and senior staff members in the delivery of projects and highways schemes.

General Responsibilities of Assistant Engineer/Technician:

* To assist with the construction of a range of schemes

* To assist with the preparation of drawings, reports and calculations for projects

* Supporting the administration & delivery of projects

* Ensuring Construction outputs meet the required standards

* Meeting agreed deadlines

* Required to be mobile and able to attend all site and depot locations within Buckinghamshire for inspections and progress monitoring

* To create good working relationships with supply chain partners and internal teams to help achieve timely and safe delivery of schemes

* You may be expected to attend progress meetings, public exhibitions and public inquiries

* Proactively undertake and record Continuing Professional Development

Experience:

* BTECH Level 3/Level 3 Apprenticeship Diploma in Construction or similar

* Comfortable using AutoCAD to produce drawings

* Experience working on roads/drainage drawings

* Good organisational skills

Desirable experience:

* CSCS

* NRSWA/Streetworks ticket

* SMSTS

This role is on an Inisde IR35 contract basis
