The Role
The role is for an experienced Technical Account Manager working with a well-established specialist in precision engineering to the motorsport industry. You will be responsible for internal sales, customer service & quoting of orders for our client’s high-end portfolio of businesses. This role will require a proactive candidate who is happy to pick up the phone & is confident in liaising with multi-disciplined teams at all levels.

* Use of a computerised system to log calls and leads.

* Quoting for business to a variety of customers in need of precision engineering services.

* Account management and customer service to develop further business from clients who already use.

* Workload allocation and booking of orders.

* Customer service & client liaison to book jobs for clients.

* liaising with buyers/engineering departments in clients’ businesses.

* Being the key contact within the business regarding all enquiries.

* General administrative duties to support the Sales Director.

* Estimation duties for internal uses.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes;
You will have exposure in a similar role or will be skilled in mechanical engineering with in-depth knowledge of machining times & engineering processes. Previous experience within the technical engineering industry in sales (external or internal) or estimating would be ideal. You will have previous relationship building experience and must be confident face to face and over the phone in dealing with customer enquiries. It is essential that you can read & understand engineering drawings.

* Must be proactive & eager to develop business where possible over the phone.

* Ideally you will have extensive experience in a technical engineering or technical account management capacity within the precision engineering/machining industry. Candidates from a machining, estimating or project engineering background will also be considered as account training can be provided.

* Need to be able to work alone and as part of a small team – must be self-motivated.
