Teaching Assistants needed
A large secondary special school In Aylesbury Buckinghamshire is looking for committed people to work as teaching assistants Previous experience is ideal but not essential
The role:
Working under the instruction/guidance of teaching and senior class staff, this rewarding, and sometimes challenging role, will include undertaking work, care and support programmes to enable access to learning for students, whilst encouraging interaction with others and promoting self-esteem. You will be assisting the teacher in the management of students and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. Comprehensive training is provided as appropriate to the role and continued professional development of our staff is encouraged.
The candidate
In order to carry out this role you will enjoy working with students who have special educational needs, have an appreciation of the positive attitudes required to encourage independence in our students together with high expectations and respect towards students, common sense, warmth and a sense of humour. You will also be enthusiastic and caring, trustworthy and reliable, resilient, healthy and committed to working as part of a team. Flexibility and a commitment to training is expected.
·You must have an enhanced DBS
·Be prepared to do extra professional development
·There may be some level of personal care
