Located in Aylesbury, this mainstream all girls secondary grammar school are looking to appoint a School Caretaker to start ASAP, on a Full Time – Temporary basis, with potential to go Long Term for the right candidate.

*** Two shift patterns, working 37 hours a week

*** Weekend work required once a month, with 2 days off in the working week

The Role – School Caretaker – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

This high quality, all girls Secondary Grammar school in Aylesbury are seeking an experienced Caretaker to start ASAP to join their team. This school aims to inspire and challenge to students to achieve exceptional achievement and develop their key skills and qualities to prepare them for their adult lives.

You will possess the ability to operate and understand electrical and mechanical systems, have a good level of competency at building and repairing, have a good understanding of health and safety, COSHE, and manual handling and have good, clear, and concise communication skills

This role requires you to be responsible for all aspects of the site management, including a wide range of duties and responsibilities. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, monitoring of contractors, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs, advising the Principal/Business Manager on suggested improvements to the general school environment and to carry out pre-planned maintenance programmes.

The Candidate – School Caretaker – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

The successful candidate for this School Caretaker role will be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying and pushing
Able to work weekends at least once a month
Have experience within the School Caretaker role
Will ideally have risk assessment and staff management experience
Hold a recognised qualification/training associated with premises management, although this is not essential
Display a conscientious and logical approach to the variety of tasks necessary for the smooth running of the school
The ability to prioritise and manage workflow whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests
