Experienced Accounts / Finance Manager position with a highly respected school in Aylesbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this highly respected Aylesbury based School as the Finance Manager. The school boasts of having a family feel to it, not just the finance department but the whole school which also includes the pupils.
Your new role
Reporting in to the Bursar you will have responsibility for leading a small, friendly and hard working team covering all aspects of the day to day running of the accounting function. Responsibilities will include:
– Month end closure and reconciliations
– oversee accounts payable and receivable activities
– Accounting for payroll activities 150 permanent staff plus additional 30 casual staff (3rd party bureau used)
– Weekly bank reconciliations
– Monthly reporting (management accounts)
– Knowledge of SORP would be an advantage.
– SIMS/Sage knowledge an advantage but not essential
What you'll need to succeed
You should be experienced in all aspects of the role either AAT or QBE. highly collaborative and with a real focus on team orientation. You will also have the flexibility to make change where change is necessary and truly adds value towards make finance an even more efficient service to the school. The ability to adapt to changing priorities will also be an essential part of the role.
