Tradewind recruitment are working in partnership with 3 of the highest performing schools in Aylesbury who are looking for additional support in September.
Tradewind are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor's, HLTA's and instructors to work within a range of schools on a supply basis from September.
Working with internal Cover teams we have scope for part time, ongoing and regular bookings on a daily and longer term basis.
Cover Supervisors play an essential role for day to day school life providing short term cover when required and even ongoing and repeat bookings for several schools.
Providing active classroom supervision in the absence of teachers, ensuring that pupils complete the work which has been set. You will also provide help and support when necessary and maintain a calm working atmosphere in the classroom and accompany pupils on school trips. You'll also be expected to support in other areas at peak times, particularly during the busy exam season.
This position would ideally suit experienced cover supervisors, supply staff, graduates looking for school experience and returning teachers or instructors looking to boost their income. Work can fit around existing weekly commitments and you'll have the option to manage your own diary and workload. Daily working hours are 8:30 – 3:30 / 4 depending on the school.
*Work 8.30am – 3.30pm each day
*Supervise pre-prepared activities in the short term/unplanned absence of the teacher and communicate feedback to the teacher upon their return.
*Manage the behaviour of students whilst they are undertaking work with them, according to individual needs.
*Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
*Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school, lunch and break times, as may be reasonably directed.
*Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacher as may be reasonably directed.

To be successful in this role you will:
*Be enthusiastic about education and helping children to be the best they can be.
*Have some previous experience of working with children in some capacity – this does not have to be within a school setting
*Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Have a CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
