About Venesky Brown
Since 2005 Venesky-Brown has been supporting our customers throughout the UK supplying the highly skilled, reliable workforce, required to build the infrastructure we all use every day. In more recent years we’ve expanded into a leading provider of resourcing solutions for Corporate Services, Digital and IT. This job’s in our rapidly expanding construction team.
* We’re UK wide and have been appointed to a number of large PSLs that will be around for years to come
* We’re true to our values and culture. We respect all our workers, give everyone a voice and actively encourage people to get involved in improvement projects
* We create rewarding career paths and quick progression for our employees and reward them well.
About The Job:
This is a site-based role working directly with the client to provide candidate support and recruitment services. It will be fast-paced and will require management of multiple stakeholders, balancing a variety of duties as required by the client and business. It’s the prefect role for someone that likes human interaction, solving problems and collaborating with internal and external teams. The client support manager will be assisted by a team of loyal soldiers in our shared services centre as well as state of the art systems that makes juggling multiple tasks and coordinating candidates easy.
More specifically:
* Register and maintain candidates – we need references checked, certifications verified and candidate files kept up to date. We call this Talent Pool management. You’ll be expected to build the Talent Pool through creating inspiring adverts and utilising social media.
* Dealing with worker issues and concerns – Once you are allocated a section you need to make it run smooth…. This may involve resolving timesheet issues, feeding back concerns with any non-VB agency workers and generally solving problems!
* Driving the project Health & Safety culture – this will include running Tool Box Talks and completing Health & Safety audits and tours. You’ll need to consolidate information and feedback to the wider Labour Desk
* Managing the VB workers on the project – Meet the VB workers before they start where required, on their first day and at regular intervals. Happy workers means happy clients, happy workers means long assignments.
* Represent VB on the Labour Desk – Build relationships with the other suppliers on the Labour Desk. Attend meetings on behalf of VB and communicate key points to the wider client team.
* Workforce Planning – Build relationships with site contacts on all sections of the project and ensure VB and you are a trusted partner. Encourage proactive workforce planning to allow VB to build Talent Pools of potential workers in advance of requisitions being issued.
* Local community representation – there will be ad-hoc project related events you’ll need to get the VB branded gear on for and attend. These could be recruitment fairs, careers workshops, charity days or work in local schools
About You:
* Recruitment experience in any sector is always helpful!
* Construction knowledge even better – you’ll know your gangers from your bangers and a telehandler from a television
* Your communication skills will be outstanding, particularly when it comes to speaking with key client contacts
* You’ve got an uncanny ability to identify & assess people under tight deadlines, separating the wheat from the chaff or the talent from the bluffers
* You are able to manage multiple Job Vacancies, juggle hundreds of candidates whilst showing the client it’s all under control
* Strong attention to detail and epic organisational skills are in your wheelhouse – you like following processes and getting things done in the right way… you know it saves time later on
* You are happy to muck-in where required but can also get your head down and work independently when needed – and you know when to ask for help!
* You’re a thoughtful and compassionate team player who is excited at the prospect of being part of something huge
* You like systems and technology and have a brain that questions the manual process
* You have a natural fit with VBs values, namely Safety, Integrity, Collaboration and Performance
Benefits:
* Salary – based on experience
* Excellent commission to reward success
* 25 days holiday plus 9 public holidays of which 5 are flexible
* Hybrid of home and client site working. With this role there is an expectation you’ll be on site 80% of the week.
* Employee Assistance Programme – our people are at the heart of everything we do, so if you’re happy, we’re happy
* Competitive pension scheme
* Life assurance and critical illness cover as standard
