Are you a Skilled Groundworker and interested in working on the largest critical infrastructure project in Europe?

Our client has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across a 225km section of the new high speed rail link between Euston and Birmingham, and we are proud to supply Skilled Groundworkers, among many other skilled trades and labour across multiple sites and projects.

Presently, the scope of works include viaducts, shafts, tunnelling, road diversions, overbridges and over 100 million cubic metres of excavation, over the course of the next 4+ years. We have a lot of work ahead of us… are you the Skilled Groundworker we are looking for?

Job role:
*Undertaking activities with all aspects of groundworks – such as kerbing, slabbing, concreting, assisting with drainage
*Mixing and pouring concrete to make foundations, beams or floors
*Digging trenches for foundations
*Fixing scaffolding and building frames
*Laying pavements and resurfacing roads
*Assisting bricklayers, carpenters and other colleagues on-site, by providing materials
*Marking out the area for the site using string lines and putting up barriers and safety signs
*Laying drainage pipes, pavements and manhole covers
*Operating hand machinery such as drills, pumps and compressors

Successful applicants will need:
* CSCS blue skilled worker card. Plant machinery experience would be beneficial
* Proven previous experience as a Skilled Groundworker
* Driving licence and own vehicle due to the location and role

Pay rate: £14.67 per hour. After 8 hours per day, the rate goes up to £22.00
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Contract type: PAYE only
Location: Aylesbury
Duration: This section of the HS2 contract is currently until 2026
