Black Book Resourcing LTD, the groundworks and civil engineering recruitment specialists have secured a position for a freelance site supervisor to manage a bulk earthworks project on a new build residential site.

Site Supervisor Responsibilities and Duties

As a Site Supervisor, you will be reporting directly into the Project Manager, you will be required to perform the following duties competently and autonomously:

* managing labour. (Excavators, ADT, Dozers)

* supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.

* coordinating and ensuring H&S is always adhered to.

* completing site paperwork.

* finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.

* assessing and minimising risk.

* Issuing permits.

Site Supervisor – Requirements

* At least two years’ experience as a site supervisor working on earthworks projects

* Strong character that can motivate and drive the work force.

* High work ethic, a can-do attitude, able to go the extra mile when required.

* Able to provide at least two references to confirm abilities.

Site Supervisor – Qualifications

* CSCS

* SMSTS / SSSTS (ideally the former)

* CPCS / NPORS Excavator (desirable)

* First Aid
