Black Book Resourcing LTD, the groundworks and civil engineering recruitment specialists have secured a position for a freelance site manager to manage a large earthworks project.
Site Manager Responsibilities and Duties
As the No.1 Site Manager, you will be reporting directly into the contract’s manager, you will be required to perform the following duties competently and autonomously:
* managing labour. (Excavators, ADT, Dozers)
* communicate effectively to supply chains and client.
* supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.
* coordinating and ensuring H&S is always adhered to.
* Completing site paperwork.
* finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
* assessing and minimising risk.
* Issuing permits.
Site Manager – Requirements
* At least three years’ experience as a site manager working on earthworks projects
* Strong character that can motivate and drive the work force.
* High work ethic, a can-do attitude, able to go the extra mile when required.
* Able to provide at least two references to confirm abilities.
Site Manager – Qualifications
* CSCS (ideally black card)
* SMSTS
* First Aid
