Are you a freelance Site Manager looking to start on a new contract on the 5th July? Are you local to Aylesbury? Would you be interested in a brand new project for 8 months? Do you have groundworks / civils experience?
Black Book Resourcing LTD, the groundworks and civil engineering recruitment specialists have secured a position for a freelance site manager with one of our trusted clients. You will be working for the groundworks sub-contractor on the development of a new three-story flat block located near Aylesbury town centre. You will be responsible for overseeing the groundworks, piling, ground beams, precast concrete floors and brick and blockwork up to roof level.
Site Manager Responsibilities and Duties
As the No.1 Site Manager, you will be reporting directly into the contract’s manager, you will be required to perform the following duties competently and autonomously:
* Managing labour.
* manage and implement programmes.
* communicate effectively to supply chains and client.
* supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.
* coordinating and ensuring H&S is always adhered to.
* maintaining quality control procedures.
* Completing site paperwork.
* finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
* assessing and minimising risk.
* Dealing with variations.
* Issuing permits.
Site Manager – Requirements
* At least five years’ experience as a site manager working on groundworks / civils projects.
* Good all-round construction knowledge.
* Strong character that can motivate and drive the work force.
* High work ethic, a can-do attitude, able to go the extra mile when required.
* Able to provide at least two references to confirm abilities.
Site Manager – Qualifications
* CSCS (ideally black card)
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* Temp works (desirable)
