The Company
A tier 1, heavyweight contractor with the reputation to match. With over 50 years of experience in dealing with civil projects of varied sizes, this contractor now finds itself in a position to handle the very biggest. With recent wins on HS2 packages as well as many other major Rail work projects currently being carried out, this company has an even brighter future than already shown. Due to the demand in workload, the need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor has arisen.
The Role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor is needed to join an already highly performing commercial team on a portion of their HS2 works. With the works being well and truly underway, the project seems to be going smoothly. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, it would be your job to take on a portion of the 4-year project which would be to the sum of around £20 million in its first year.
Works are for the building of 8 structures in and around the track including footbridges, underpasses, and other similar type structures. As Senior Quantity Surveyor on this project, it would be paramount to have Tier 1 contactor experience using the NEC contract type. More specifically Option C. As Senior Quantity Surveyor in a contractor sense on this project, you would find yourself taking on 6 months worth of work with the option for an extension.
Requirements
* Previous experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 Contractor
* NEC Contract type experience (Preferably Option C but not paramount)
* Comfortable commute to Aylesbury and surrounding areas as works would be site based at first
* Ability to handle contracts to the size of and above the £10 Million mark
