Security Officer
Are you an experienced Security Officer looking for a new challenge?
We are currently looking to add SIA licenced Security Officers to our operations team working in the construction industry. You will be based in the Aylesbury area and must be willing to travel within a 15 mile radius.
The Protector Group, established in 1994 is an equal opportunities employer who holds SIA approved contractor status for the provision of Security Guarding, CCTV & Keyholding services as well as being an NSI/SSAIB approved installer.
This role will require the successful candidate to maintain a safe and secure environment for our client by patrolling and monitoring their premises and personnel.
The position is for a long-term contract with our client and requires the candidate to work on a 4 on 4 off roster pattern which includes days, nights and weekends.
Salary: £10.16 per hour
Security Officer Roles and Responsibilities
* To conduct regular, highly visible patrols of the premises
* Checking of staff, contractors and visitor ID cards
* Controlling authorised access/egress of pedestrian and vehicular traffic on and off site
* Writing reports
* To effectively deal with all incidents falling within the security remit and to report all incidents to the relevant authority
* Provide a customer friendly, reassuring, professional security presence
* Managing logbooks and reports by recording observations, occurrences and surveillance activities
* Provide a locking service, locking doors and gates as required
* Protect property against destruction, damage and theft
Security Officer Essential Skills
* Proven work experience as a Security Officer or equivalent position
* Good customer service skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* A good working knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
* Reliability
Licences
* Valid SIA Licence frontline – Essential
* Driving Licence – Essential
* Traffic Marshall trained – Preferred
